Flourishing at School
Flourishing at School (FAS) is a complete package for teachers and students to achieve their optimum levels of wellbeing. FAS provides assessment and teaching materials, as well as individual activities, designed to enhance wellbeing using a positive psychology framework.
FAS includes the Student Flourishing Profile (SFP), which is a multi-dimensional measure of student wellbeing that provides a periodic assessment of student wellbeing against a normative sample. Feedback can be provided at a whole of school level, year group level, sub-group level, and individual student level.
- Draws on PERMA positive education principles (as first proposed by Martin Seligman, 2011);
- Includes positive health (nutrition, physical activity and sleep);
- Aligned with ‘excelling’ in Wellbeing in the NSW Department of Education Excellence Framework for Schools (2015); and
- Is consistent with the Geelong Grammar School Model for Positive Education (2013).
